Julia MacIsaac
About Julia:
Julia was born in Glasgow and her mother is from Garrynamonie, South Uist, and her father is from Nask, Barra. Married to Iain from Acarsaid Mhor, Eriskay she has been permanently living there for the past 6 years.
She is semi-retired and active in the community, working part time in Eriskay Post Office, having previously worked for 17 years for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde / Ayrshire and Arran as P.A. to the Director of Mental Health Services and 12 years with Whisky company J&B Scotland Ltd.
She was very active in the Gaelic community in Glasgow as a member of the Govan Gaelic choir for many years and was also President of the Glasgow Uist and Barra Association and involved with their first ever Gaelic unit.
She is also a school board member and member of many other committees and groups and is currently involved with the running of St Peter’s Traditional Dance group.
