Angus MacKenzie – Piping for Dancing

Angus MacKenzie is from Mabou in Cape Breton with an excellent musical pedigree as far as traditional music goes and piping in particular. A much accomplished Highland Piper, featuring highly in competition prize lists and served as Pipe Major of the St Ann’s Gaelic College of Pipe Band. Angus is now living in the West Highlands and is probably best known as a founder member of the popular band Daimh. Angus also plays Hamish Moore border pipes and is generally regarded as the master of the instrument.

Angus is no stranger to Ceolas and indeed Uist, having family connections here. We welcome him back to Ceolas 2012.
