Alison MacLeod from Inverness learnt to stepdance at Sabhal Mor Ostaig, taught by Cape Bretoner Harvey Beaton. Known for her traditional style, she has toured throughout Scotland and the UK with The Scottish Stepdance Company, as well as working on individual projects. She has taught extensively, with a focus on complementing music through the intricate rhythms and driving percussion of stepdance. Now living in Edinburgh, she is chair of the Scots Music Group as well as teaching its stepdance classes. We welcome Alison on her second visit to Ceolas.
