Uachdar an Iochdar will  focus on the work collected within the largest township in South Uist.   This township has a strong history of social and potitical commentary arising out of their longs years of working the run rig system of agriculture - in a sustainable way.   The symposium will also  commemorate  some of the work of Calum Maclean whose 50th Anniversary occurs this year.
