Ceòlas has run an annual heritage symposium to celebrates significant local people, places, events and traditions. The symposia are largely Gaelic-medium, providing participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in the South Uist vernacular.

Usually taking place two weeks after the Ceòlas summer school to dovetail with the annual Agricultural Show, the symposia provide visitors and members of the community with an additional programme including talks, discussions, workshops, guided walks and evening cèilidhs.

The programme and leaflet for the 2018 symposium is available here: Lagh a’ Chladaich; and read how it went here.
