Shona is a Gaelic speaking fiddle player from the Isle of Skye. She was involved in music from a young age, learning a variety of instruments from some of Scotland’s top musicians at Fèisean and other events. Shona was a pupil at the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton, and went on to study music and Gaelic at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig before heading to Glasgow University to study Gaelic. Since graduating, Shona has been heavily involved in Gaelic development, media and music. Shona has taught at many different Fèisean all over Scotland. Performances range from regular sessions in Glasgow, to gigs at festivals such as Blas and Celtic Connections.
